Nervtötend
Eine stundenlange Aneinanderreihung von Szenen hirnfreier körperlicher Anziehungskraft zweier Teenager ohne erkennbare Geschichte, dafür aber voll von nervtötenden Geschlechterklischees. Das erste Buch, dass ich je zurückgeben habe.

Didn't like it
This was my first book by this author - and my last. Honestly, I only bought the audiobook because the e-book was free. So I "only" paid 3,95 Euros for both. Not even worth that, IMO. The narrator was really good but the story itself was awful. First and foremost: Without knowing the author personally, she should reconsider the very, very fine line there is between coercion and abuse. If you buy a dark romance, you can prepare yourself for the dubious content you might encounter. But to create a male Protagonist with no Moral Codex and then sell it unter the guise of romance is absolutely wrong. Plus, the story was first insta-love at it's worst in the first few chapters but after that it became chapter after chapter of argueing. They even argued about argueing.... My husband and I are together for 20 years now and I'm in my mid-thirties - so maybe I'm too old for this book. But I don't think I could have dealt better with this awful story in my early twenties. First, insta-everything and then only discussion after discussion - I really kinda hated both protagonists by the middle of the book. The rest, I only skimmed through. Another thing that irked me was that the heroine mumbled synonyms whenever she was agitated. But the author obviously didn't share that quirk with her female character, since words like 'therefore', 'pants' and the phrase 'right in the feels' were used in a sickeningly high number of times. So this ^^ is what I got after anticipating a romance with chemnistry, a little humor and a little bit of angst. For more than 19 hours of audiobook time, no less. Nope, sorry if my Review is a little harsh but so was the story on my nerves! All considering, I only gave the overall book 1 Star because there are no 0 Stars and also because I think the narrator did a good job.
