Love speaker Julie Maisey, plot is ok

The plot starts out with a strong female character that faces problems of a mens world, then it gets a little too full of clichés to make the main characters go from lovers to adversaries and the main character loses a little bit of her fire.
But I liked that the story is told both from his and her perspective. The sex scenes were a bit too rushed for my taste. And the teaching of knowledge of being a curtisane was short at best.
Spoiler: HEA is there - just not an epilogue.
All in all its a nice light story with a touch of regency area, a touch of love, erotica and little spy parts.
If you look for something serious or recent time appropriate behavior towards women this book is not for you.
I enjoyed the story for the most part, but will not listen to book 2 in the series.
As always, check out before if you like the voice of the speaker!
I like her very much therefore I‘ll give the audiobook 4 stars in total.
