Über diesen Titel
Eric was born in a world governed by the Great System, in the family of Aren Bergman, a respected miner from Orchus. But the joy of gaining a son was overshadowed by the newborn's terrible affliction. Eric was completely nulled-level zero and no characteristics points. The only things keeping him from dying were his tiny base supplies of "life" and "energy".
The medicine woman who delivered Eric believes this to be the work of the evil spirit, Bug. Due to the peculiar laws of the Great System, Eric cannot use experience essences or characteristics tablets, so he risks having to spend his whole life confined to a bed. But his father finds a solution. He takes out a large bank loan and goes to the capital where he buys a few artifacts of the Ancients on the black market, which have no level restriction.
Despite having the artifacts, Eric is still very feeble, and everyone in town thinks him a freak. But at least he can move on his own, and that gives the Bergmans hope. But alas, it isn't for long. On Eric's 14th birthday, his father and mother die in a mining accident. The bank takes their house, and Eric is left with no choice but to work off the remaining debt in the Dungeons of the Crooked Mountains. And so begins the story of a nulled boy's struggle to survive....

interessant Welt
das Konzept mit Level und den Tafeln hat mich überrascht und die Charaktere sind auch gut geschrieben jedoch fehlt dem Hauptcharakter in meinen Augen das Rückgrat am Ende aber ich werde das nächste Buch auch kaufen

Not the worst, but far from the best
Let's be honest here, most litrpg/system novels are kinda like fast food. McDonalds meals are not up to gourmet standards, but somehow we still get a craving for them occasionally. Compared to truly great fantasy stories, this book does not hold up at all. But even compared to other "fast food" this book is only about average. The MC is a naive idiot. Given that he is a country bumpkin without much education, this actually fits the narrative quite well, but the amount of his cringeworthy stupid decisions is still grating. The world, where "The System" and "Bug" are heralded as gods is kind of an interesting take, but not enough to tip the scales. Setting aside the annoingly naive MC, i've got 3 gripes with this book:
1. Logic errors in the writing. For example: The MC was traveling with a group of people, who, allegedly, traveled in complete silence for several days, not gracing the MC with any conversations. And jet, later on in the story, the MC's decisions are based on quite alot of information, which he learned from aforementioned silent group.
2. This audiobook is unabridged. Normally this is the only true way of adapting a book. I want to hear the whole story, not just the parts, that some editor deems important. But in a litrpg/system novel there is one aspect, which reaaaaly isnt suited for an audiobook, and that is stat sheets and loot drops. Listening to the same stat sheet over and over and over and over again, with only minute changes is NOT fun. Or listening to the line "you obained loot xyz" 10 times in a row (which happens several times). In writen form this doesnt matter at all, you just read the line once, and skip the rest, or just count the number of lines. But in an audiobook you actually have to listen to all of it. And since this happens with such high frequency in this book, randomly skipping ahead all the time got old really fast. Just listing the stats that actually changed, and shortening the loot drops to "you have obtained 10 of loot xyz" would have been far preferable. (or at least put all stats at the end of an chapter, so that anyone can easily skip them!)
3. The MC is cursed with bad luck in the early part of the book. Apparently he was preloading his carma, because after the first half, basicly everything he touches turns to gold and most of his opponents seem to be half dead, so that he only has to perform the last hit. I am convinced, that the cause for the MC's weakness is not actually his lack of levels, it's just the weight of his impossibly thick plot armor that is waying him down.
Conclusion:
I probably won't continue this story, at least not as an audiobook. While the narrator does a decent job, the frequent and repetetive stats and loot windows are just too annoing to sit trough. Maybe i'll get a craving at sone point and read on, but only if i find no better fast food in the fridge.

It takes forever
This story just doesn't get going, the first half of the whole story is just exposition, memories and torture.
