A family has moved to the United States from China during Christmas break and their young son will be going to Brookdale Middle School after the break. But by the spring the local Little League team, the Brookdale Badgers, need a hot new pitcher to help them keep their annual winning streak intact. Will a little added touch of Chinese good luck help the Badgers win the Pennant this season?
This is a story about teamwork and getting to know people from other countries and cultures. It's also a great lesson about how teamwork and good sportsmanship will help any child succeed in school, in sports and in their life ahead. And it's inspired by my nephew's own journey to America from China!
