In the quiet, fog-shrouded town of Harrowby, Joanne, a skilled programmer with a penchant for exploring the dark corners of the internet, discovers an enigmatic app named "WitchWish." The app promises to grant any wish upon summoning a witch, and with a hint of curiosity and scepticism, Joanne impulsively wishes for her student loans to disappear.
To her shock, her debt vanishes overnight, but a mysterious heatwave devastates the town, causing fires, chaos, and suffering. As the oppressive heat intensifies, Joanne realizes her seemingly harmless wish triggered a dark, magical force now threatening Harrowby. Desperate for answers, she enlists her best friend Jamie, and together they seek the witch who granted her wish.
Their search leads them to a secluded cabin deep in the woods, where an ancient witch reveals that Joanne’s wish upset a delicate balance, and undoing it comes at a steep, personal cost.
In a dangerous ritual that pushes Joanne to the brink of death, they manage to restore some order, but the witch warns them that the power Joanne unleashed is far from contained. To truly end the madness, Joanne and Jamie must journey into the foreboding “realm of witches” to confront the source of this ancient evil.
