Great, this series so far can hold up easily compared to "Unorthodox Farming" series and now I have to choose which to hope to get released first.
though from what I heard from the author we might get two more books of Vincent this year so here is for hoping.
About the story all I can say, for humor is definitely as good as Unorthodox Farming, the system reminds me a lot of "Revenge of the Sorcerer King Series" and the fights and setting rivales the first Dungeon Lord book.
Of cause, Travis is delivering a stellar 5 Star performance but this is seemingly his baseline.

Overall a very enjoyable 10-hour short journey in a hopefully long-running world to which I would love to return.
On a personal note, listen to the audiobook while playing V-Rising, that sets the mood very nicely

Witzig und Charmant von Anfang bis Ende. Perfekt für jüngere oder junggebliebene Höhrer. Einfach Empfehlenswert.

Excellent characterisation for even the small and unimportant people.
The magic system is quite out of balance, but the overpowered nature of it is not limited to our protagonist.
The humor is exactly the right balance for a dark comedy.
The story ends at a satisfying point with still many places open for expansion.

The only complaint i have is, the reader wasn't able to give every character a distinct voice. I still give 5 stars for that anyways, because that is a battle you can't win.

I listened to this during a trip on my vacation while I was driving and it was so much fun that I didn't really want to get out of my car when I arrived.

Travis Baldree is an easy 10/10, which already puts this onto a great start.
The Worldbuilding is great and I can't wait to get to know more about the World and how it functions.
As for the story itself, I think it has a lot of great humor in it and the characters are very good and definitely something I want to hear more of as well.

My only gripe with it is, that some parts of the story work just a bit too smoothly for the main character. He never seems to be surprised or caught off guard by anything, which is fine for comedy. I just hope it wont make the story bland as the books continue.
