The story had potential, but most of the time I was annoyed and I didn't really like anyone. MMC ist an asshole, theres no apology to the FMC for his shitty behaviour. FMC is naive, lets him treat her terribly and still thinks he is her greatest love. These are kids, so the story was not really realistic. The way male protagonists talk about girls/women is so mysogynistic I felt really repelled. This just wasn't it for me.

What an entertaining surprise this book was. I just love Ashley Jade's effortless and fun writing style.
I read "Cruel Prince" as a mix of audio and e-book and I highly suggest the audiobook. The narrators are truly fantastic and I doubt I would have loved this book as much had I read the e-book only.
What I liked most is that this book feels authentic in the sense that the characters act and talk their age. You know those books where the characters are very pretentious and talk as if their 60. Well, this was not it, thank the lord!
Also, sure, the author didn't invent the wheel here. It's a rich kids bully book. It's been done before many times, sometimes better and sometimes worse. But I'm so happy that there wasn't much emphasis on "poor rich kids drama" as it happens with other high school series. I may not remember a lot about this book in the next few weeks but I had fun with it.
And last, it's great that this book doesn't take itself all too seriously. There are a lot of funny moments, the kind where you laugh out loud mixed with angsty ones.

Teddy Hamilton, spot on. The story was a bit exaggerated. I was not feeling it so much. It was a bit long and all over the place imo.
