Dan writes good stories and creates believable characters and interesting worldbuilding. HOWEVER, in all his books Dan’s MC are so overpowered, that the fights are just utterly boring. In most books the MC will win, but in Dan’s books there is not even the slightest chance that he dies – and we are talking about LiteRPG, where dying isn’t even an issue.
In Disgardium this is amusing in the first 2-3 books, but in books 4-6 this kills suspension and most of the story. In book 7 proves that he can do better. But unfortunately, it switches to now overpowered enemies. So overpowered that all characters are again just sidekicks with minimal support to the MC.
Thus, if you hate that the MC will always survive no matter what, than stay away. Otherwise, as most of the books are included in Audible they are good, while doing something else.
