Über diesen Titel
An interplanetary battle is renewed in an epic novel of a warring solar system by the author of Ballistic.
The war should have been over. But it’s not for a group of nationalists grabbing for control.
It’s been two weeks since a missile with a nuclear warhead tore through the planetary defenses in the most blistering large-scale attack ever committed in the history of the Gaia system. Commander Dunstan Park of the Rhodian navy has been handpicked to command an experimental cruiser that could dictate the course of the escalating conflict. All he has to do is keep the ship from falling into the wrong hands.
On Gretia, the powder keg is beyond control. A terrorist attack against civilians draws Idina Chaudhary into a costly battle. It also forces a cautious Aden Jansen back into the fray. Now dedicated to a just cause, he’s still keeping his past hidden. The risk of exposing his former alliance could twist not only his fate but also that of his sister, Solveig, heir to the family empire.
With no time to waste, Dunstan hits the ground running. But as insurgents threaten the unstable peace, what’s ahead for both sides could change the destiny of the Gaia system forever.

“A series you should start if you are a fan of grounded space opera with a military lean. The Palladium Wars comes at straight-up military fiction from an angle that keeps it interesting.” (Locus Magazine)
Korey Jackson is the first of the three narrators that I've actually disliked.
The way he meanders through the text (or maybe it's too monotonous?) made me speed up the audio by 10-15%. And regrettably, it seem he either couldn't be bothered to check the correct pronunciations for
the names etc. in this series or he simply didn't care.
Good story, poor narrator

Well… Yeah goodish

Good Narrator
Sudden End that does match the tension buildup before. Frontlines is better.
The Characters are beautiful and the worldbuilding is a treat, yet the Story stays thin and Events are frustratingly on the surface.
Conclusion: The Series feels rushed and not well produced/editet or had a lack of or to many alphareaders who chimed in. It is a showcase of a tension teaser with a lot of unfinished strands. The Rushjob impression is not helped by ever changing Voice Talent, who all did a great job despite having to go after Luke Daniels set up the series.
I am for now done with this series, there is a lot of good that Marko Kloos delivers but my trust in a satisfying conclusion is lost (as the TV Show who invented the concept of racking up tension teasing without payoff).
Okay

This audio book however is a case of "I thought the narrator was acceptable in the sample", which turned out to be simply the worst audio book narration performance I ever had to endure .
Couldn't even finish it
