Okaay Brandon and Paul are perfect for each other!! Just seeing how much better paul fits with brandon instead of jeremy is so beautiful! Also the friendship between them and jeremy and preston is everything as well!!! This is definitely one of my fav mm series i've read so far! The relationships that are built in here are just so realistic and genuine 😍

Trigger: Loss of a parent, bullying

Summary:
Paul and Brendon are best friends and both play hockey at Darby U. They are also roommates. Paul has lost his mother in a car accident and he had to watch her die next to him. Brendon has been badly bullied by teammates in high school while the coach just watched. He never told anyone and still wears the mental scars. Brendon has difficulties so show himself in front of others but is fine to do so when he’s with Paul. They cuddle and only then does he feel safe. Then their lines blur when they kiss and start fooling around. Paul talks to him like no one has ever done before. But to make their relationship real, Paul has to learn to accept loving someone without constantly being scared - and he'd have to come out.

Not as dark as the first book but both characters still struggle with their past and have to overcome their fears. Their relationship develops slowly and in a wonderfully believable way.

Once again, this book series managed to break my heart again and again, only to heal it again. Brandon and Paul's inner monologues and fears are very well written. Their dynamic from best friends to lovers to husband and wife was great. The banter was peak as well. I often found myself laughing out loud.
