Über diesen Titel
Twenty-one-year-old Brandy Lee is a newborn she-wolf assigned to drive Lady Rochelle, the leader of she-wolves. Within hours of reporting for her first day, Brandy Lee’s world is turned upside down when she learns she is the reason for an uprising.
Vampire Raven lives a comfortable, quiet life as the assistant for the leader of the vampires, Queen Lana. At least until temptation strolls into the RedBlood Estate - by the name of Brandy Lee. Soon, Raven has no choice; she must follow her heart. But will it lead her into love or danger?
Blood Runs Through the Heart from authors L.L. Shelton, and T.A. Williams is set in the modern world, except in this version, humans, she-wolves, and vampires live together in peace. Or until the rumor of an uprising spreads.

no character growth and bad reasoning
The 2 protagonists are just pretty useless from beginning till the end. Of all the challenges they face in this book 80% are resolved by getting help from another sources, 15% they run away or it's resolved by some convenient birthright/bloodline trait and in 5% they actually face the challenge and win through their own efforts. And excluding the romatic relationship they don't grow from their hardships, they are the same unprepared, frightened weaklings when they go to get the amulet as they were in the beginning before going into the forrest the 1st time, the only thing even hinting at character growth is one sentence right at the end.
The reasoning of some characters makes no sense, main offender is this Alpha person towards the end. They want the protagonist to prove her fighting prowess but just disregard her survival in the forrest from where "nobody returns". Then they send her back into that dangrous forrest to get a necklace that will prove that she is this super special person but then they don't give her any protection against the forrest. That is braindead since in that case they can lose her right after she survives the amulet wich is the only prove they needed anyway. The 1st trial wouldn't even have been nescessary since all they wanted was a prove of her bloodline wich was the amulet.
The powerstructure between the different queens, empresses and ladies is incomprehensible, we have a vampire queen that has lost control over her subjects, we have a vampire empress nearly groveling before the shifter empress even though the shifters just up and kidnapped the vampires daughter and subject, then we have kind of elder vampires that seem to be more powerful than a vampire queen a council of wich we get introduced to the vampire empress and the shifter empress. This chaos just makes no sense.
