In 1979, a struggling family and a terrifying accident collide to create a mystery that rocks a small fishing community, and spawns an urban legend. Thirteen years removed from the tragedy, conspiracy theories and rumors are rampant, and a group of college journalism students ventures out on a tainted road, headed for the abandoned site where the agonizing incident occurred to set the facts straight.
Hoping for a fun, informative weekend that will provide them what they need to complete their assignment, the students are soon thrust into a series of unnerving events which suggest the story is far from being over. Do any of them survive the shocking brutality that awaits in order to tell about it, or do they all succumb to the evil that hides Beneath the Bayou?
