An informative, fact based introduction

3/4 of the book is about biology on earth and the evolution from non-live to live. And the reading is much to slow, I speede it up to 1.4.

If you like a more speculative approach I recommend
"Imagined Life - A Speculative Scientific Journey among the Exoplanets in Search of Intelligent Aliens, Ice Creatures, and Supergravity Animals" by James Trefil and Michael Summers
