Reread as Adult

I LOVE IT!
I love Tamora Pierce's Writingstyle.
The Story of Alanna and Dhana are the most underrated works of art...Thanks for this incredible, beautifully spoken audiobook, I'm really glad I was able to listen to it♥️

Reread reread and reread again
I have read this series several times now. It was one of the first books that introduced me to fantasy. The stories are written for young (even younger) adults but they have a quality and atmosphere about them that make them very special to me. Recommend.

Amazing beginning of an even more amazing story
This book is the first of a four part story. I love Tamora Pierce's books and considering that this one is the first she ever wrote, it's really great. I've read the books at least five times (in english as well as in german) and was thrilled when I realised that they are also available as audio books. I was even more thrilled about the fact that the audio books are unabridged.
My expectations for this audio book haven't been disappointed. Trini Alvarado reads wonderful and has the ability the give each person its own, specific voice. She understands it also to read the story in a passionate way, so it doesn't seem exaggerated but contains feelings.
Therefore even someone who loves the books as I do will certainly not be disappointed by this audio book - as unfortunately too often happens - and listen to it enthusiastically, as will all who don't know the story yet.
It's most certainly worth listening to.

Wunderschön
Kenne ich noch aus meiner Kindheit und war mein erstes Fantasy Buch. Ich lese sie auch immer wieder von vorne. Kann ich nur empfehlen.

One of my favorite children's books...
Read well and with love. Alanna was my role model when growing up, and I am still impressed by this rare example of a female character that breaks so many trite conventions.
