This is a real Christmas Cracker of a book!

What a Christmas treat, I was so excited about this release and oh boy the hype is real. I had no doubt I would love this book! This is another fun hilarious sexy hot adorable story by Kayley Loring.

Kayley Loring has a brilliant mind, her one-liners are just priceless, and her dialogue has me in hysterics, the good & funny kind! I am finishing this book with a big giddy and satisfied smile on my face. This book has you swooning in no time. One of my top audiobooks 2020.

Declan Cannavale ´s only focus is work with Christmas being the last thing on his mind. He is a grumpy, bossy lawyer who is not making his assistants life easy. Although, it seems, the only one getting through to his secret softer side is his sassy assistant Maddie who can hold her own and is having none of his scrooge like attitude.

Things get interesting when Declan makes Maddie an offer to be his pretend girlfriend for a few family gatherings over Christmas & New Year, in exchange for her getting some time off over the Holidays. This arrangement screams for a fun roller coaster ride with naked dancing, drunk singing & texting, family meets and a lot ‘a eye-rolling. Obviously, there is this un-denying sizzling chemistry which will quickly turn into hot steamy sexy time.

Worth mentioning as well are all these side characters; to name a few - Maddie´s neighbour Mrs. Pavlovsky, Dec´s brother Eddie, Dec´s cousins (Hello the Irish) & especially Maddie´s niece Piper, who is adorable and has her own interpretation, in her 12-year-old head, of how her aunts love story should be told. I also really enjoyed Declan´s inner head conversations with himself, just LOL.

Since I listened to the audiobook I NEED to comment on the performances by Mackenzie Cartwright and Connor Crais. Did they knock this one out of the park or what!? 😊 This is a dual narration with some parts being in duet-style. Their sexy flirty banter, different accents and imitation of all those different characters had me in stitches. The delivery of the intended puns and one-liners are just spot on. Listening to both is just a delight and I cannot gush about them enough. Connor & Mackenzie along with Kayley are three of my favourite discoveries in 2020.
