A great sports romance!
This is a great sports romance with a solid storyline and real-life like characters. First and foremost, I just loved Natalie. she is an expert in her field, not afraid to stand up for herself and the people she cares about and is responsible for. And to have a female character in a real love story (supposed to only thinly veiled written p0rn) who is totally comfortable with her own sexuality, isn't a virgin or almost untouched and who doesn't fall in love with a guy just because she slept with him, is so refreshing. Welcome to the 21st century! And the guys she finally falls for are real life representations of modern men, too, but in the best sense, being able to admit to being wrong and having a good mixof masculine personality and being emotionally intelligent. All this is clad into a great baseball story with a lot of baseball details (which went right over my head as a European) but it wasn't so much that you'd feel theres an overload. I liked knowing, Natalie, the pitching coach really knew what she was talking about. It was a great story with interesting side characters and MCs that were leaping off the page. Well, I listened to the audio version (great performance, btw) but you know what I mean.
