No matter how hard he tries, Riley never can do anything right in his father's eyes. Now his father makes him work hard on their cattle ranch, but it is not the work that is bothering Riley. Its the ranch foreman Blake, Riley has had a crush on since childhood. When he discovers that Blake's feelings are mutual his world turns upside down. Blake is everything Riley ever wanted, but what will happen when his father finds out?

Silvia Violet's story is well structured, the characters are multilayered and the development between Riley and Blake feels right and realistic. I must add that I am normally not a fan of the Daddy/boy theme as the age gap mostly gets in my way. Here with Riley it felt right though and I could understand the appeal of wanting a real Dad who cared and loved him. Oh my, and the hot scenes are veeery hot and made my ears burn *laugh *

Chris Chambers' voice variations are amazing and he makes young Riley sounding sulking, hurt, confused, determined that I wanted to hug and comfort him, too. Blake, the ranch hands and Mr. Lawson all get their distinctive voices and truely become „alive“ during the hot and dramatic scenes. I wanted to kick Blake towards the end for being so pensive and passive, just leaving the ranche without a fight. Mr. Chambers brings out the dynamics between those two very diffenten men stunningly . It kept me hooked to the story until the perfect happy ending.
