Inhaltsangabe
A sequel to Plump Fiction! What is Nicole Thompson (or Nicole Rolland) up to now?
Lena prepared breakfast. She piled the large plate with two full circular waffles indented into segments of four, drenched in melted butter and strawberry syrup. She pulled the pie-sized bacon cheddar quiche out of the oven, cut a slice and plopped it on a smaller plate, then grabbed a big tall glass and drew her attention to making the beverage.
The recipe had to be just right or Nicole would throw a fit. Two inches of cold brew, two pumps of chocolate syrup, two pumps of toffee syrup, a healthy pour of Bailey's, (Lena had secretly been adding more and more in the last few months) stirred well and topped off with about 4 inches of half and half. It was more sugar, alcohol and cream than it was a morning coffee drink, and Lena couldn’t believe that someone would actually start their day this way, everyday, but what Nicole demanded, Nicole received. The amount of butter and sugar that she consumed on a daily basis was unbelievable to Lena. That’s not to even mention the orange juice and champagne mimosa that also always needed to be included with this ridiculously lavish meal.
This was Nicole’s breakfast every morning, and it had been for basically the entire year that Lena had been working for the Rollands. She had been hired back when James started doing consultant work for tech companies, not that he needed the money, it was more just to get out of the house and keep from going stir crazy.
