Gavin has been a wildlife photographer for over 30 years. During that time he's lurked in the shadows of some of the world's remotest places in order to capture footage of the animal kingdom's finest: prides of lions, silverback gorillas, capuchin monkeys, brown bears, grey whales, penguins, mosquitoes - you name it he's filmed it.

dreary

his wildlife photography may be world class, his writing and narrating skills however....
apart from tips on how to deal with African bees and elephants this was quite a waste of time. the quirk of giving the coordinates of every place at the start of the chapter quickly became tedious , particularly in multiple consecutive short chapters from the same place. I gave up when he referred to David Attenborough as a 'top bloke' . incidentally the intro by DA is the best and most entertaining bit. 'Top bloke' indeed
