Exactly what I needed
Each sentence is first read slowly in German, then regular speed, with a pause after for you to repeat it, then the English translation. I thought the example sentences were good and the context helped me understand the words better. I already know most of the vocabulary. What I found valuable was listening to and repeating simple German sentences. I finished B2, have conversational level of German, and am learning a LOT listening to this book. Exactly what works for me. I highly recommend it for those who have taken some German and want to practice listening and pronunciation. Also perfect for practicing dictations!!!!! This book is building my confidence with practical German because I get to practice saying things. So happy about this find.

Interesting but
The title is misleading , I expected 2000 words that would really strengthen my German , but I would not consider “ this, a , she he , him , we, des “ as words ! This is simple grammar
I still find it helpful non the less

The counting was very annoying.
Other than the unnecessary counting, it was great. The words are useful to know. Sentences helpful.

Sounds more like learning count to 2000 in English
The idea is great, but at least narrator could count in German, instead numbers narrated in English. Some of 2000 words don’t need translation at all as they are equal in almost any language.
